Dead Rising 2 will have multiplayer

As if shredding dozens of zombies with a chainsaw on your lonesome wasn't enough, it now seems that Dead Rising 2 will feature some form of multiplayerPR blunder at GDC, Capcom were able to confirm the inclusion of multiplayer at last weeks CAPTIVATE 09 event in Monaco.

"We're at a point in game history that you need to have some form of multiplayer component in a game," Keiji Inafune, who is head of R&D at Capcom, told journalists. "Single-player alone is not going to cut it. So rest assured we are going to put multiplayer in the game."

Precise details are still scarce, but one can only imagine that co-operative play is on the horizon following the critical and commercial success of Left 4 Dead.
